Steps to adopt one of our doodles: Step 1-Read about Us About Us First and foremost, If I haven't introduced Myself yet, my name is Kristin. My passion is and has always been dogs. I was first introduced to a doodle in late 90's. The rest is history. I was hooked. The breed has brought so much love and happiness into my own life. I would be selfish not to share. Over the years, i have found joy witnessing puppies and clients finding and finally meeting their connections! Its magical and it's a happiness that is hard to come by these days! I've also realized that sharing also requires a gret deal of responsibility. A responsibility that's not so fun. It's called 'breeding responsibly'. I've spent Countless hours and lots of money on; testing, analyzing, matching, etc. Perfecting and testing our lines have not been easy or cheap. The results have been interesting and will be beneficial to all of our future clients. Our puppies and mothers are kept in our home with us. That's correct! THEy live in our home. We live on a 5 acre lot. we built/reconstructed a floor of our home to accommodate a comfortable nursery/dog area for all of our mothers and their individual litters. we added a doggy spa area to make bathing easier and funner. all doodle suites include; beds, music (24 hour country), feeding areas, a doggy door for moms to access outside and to teach their puppies to do the same. Having these in our home and part of our everyday life, makes birthing, testing, loving, snuggling, engaging, busting (just the occasional naughty ones) etc, so much easier, more natural and even more practical. STEP 2-READ OUR PROCess Our Process Our goal and continued motivation here is to help every person and puppy find 'their connection'. I personally do not feel that this connection can be found through a picture of a one week old puppy on the internet. NO! NO! No! just like children, they change so much and so quickly. I'm aware of these changes. I watch and note these changes. THeir temperaments and personalities are not evident until they are 5-6 weeks old. This is the exACT REASON WHY IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE OLDER BEFORE MEETING AND FINDING 'THAT CONNECTION'. They need to choose you too. We will schedule a private selection meeting time for you to come here and meet us and the litter (More info to come). I expect that you will be in attendance for this meeting or at least schedule a facetime/video-call (if necessary). I will not send a puppy to a home that I feel will not thrive. Thats NOT my goal. I have done my research, now please do yours. Do not reach out to me if you are not 100 % ready for the commitment.
3-Fill out the application. This helps us get to know you a little better and also helps us to match a puppy to you. Keep in mind that this is a process. All things great are worth the wait!! PLACE YOUR DEPOSIT (THROUGH OUR PAYMENT PAGE, VENMO, PAYPAL, APPLECASH, CHECK, ETC). THE SOONER IT IS RECEIVED, THE CLOSER TO THE TOP OF LIST YOU WILL BE. PLEASE MENTION WHICH LITTER YOU ARE MOST INTERESTED IN. You can wait for your approval text from me before placing your deposit but please realize it may delay your reservation. as reservations are based on deposit time received. WAIT FOR UPDATES...MAKE SURE WE GET YOU ON OUR TEXTING NOTIFICATION LIST. WE ALSO RECOMMEND THAT YOU LIKE AND FOLLOW OUR FACEBOOK PAGE AS WELL AS INSTAGRAM. PICTURES, VIDEOS AND UPDATES ARE UPDATED USING MULTIPLE SOURCES. TOO FUN TO MISS OUT ON THEIR MILESTONES!
5-Puppy viewing/selection appointment (in person or by way of facetime, skype etc)- Appointments will be scheduled in the same order as deposits were received. This will be the time you will be picking your forever companion. Let it be as natural as possible. We will offer our opinions as well as testing scores etc. Ultimately, let your heart be open to the puppy that picks you. Balance is due at this time. **Please keep the designated weekends (when your puppy will be 5-6 weeks old) available for your selection appointment. Your specific date/time will be assigned to you when this time approaches. Please let us know if FACETIME will be your preference for this appointment. Thank you for understanding the process of these schedulings.**
In the meantime....... get prepared! Read as much about the breed as possible. Also familiarize yourself with lots of puppy training books, videos, classes, etc. Knowledge is an asset! Start shopping for supplies (if interested--ask for a shopping list). Schedule your first vet appointment. It needs to be within the first 3 days after bringing your puppy home. Schedule obedience training class ASAP.
6-Pick-up time and date will be scheduled. We will contact you to schedule your pickup time. If driving your puppy home, please remember to bring a safe kennel/travel crate for transport. Blankets and towels are great for inside of the kennel as well as under and on top of. Extra supplies---Paper towels, sanitizing wipes, toys, bowls and water. Do not stop and let your puppy out anywhere that another dog or puppy may have been. Parvo is an example of a very contagious and life threatening disease for puppies. Do not even let them walk into a vets office. Carry them in.
7- Continue to be the best person you can be. Take good care of our puppies. We have loved them so much and know that you will too!!!
