Check this out.....
So I'm minding my own business in my own room when Kristin comes in. She asks me if I needed to go outside to potty. Of course I did! I quickly jump out of my litter bed and left my puppies sleeping. I can go potty and be right back before any of them wake up. Thats where it got kinda funny. No sooner than I walked out the door, the other door closes. No big deal, right? Right! That's where the story gets even better. I do my business and am ready to come back in but my doggy access door is locked. I try again and its the same thing. It's locked. In the middle of the day? Maybe it's an accident? I thought to myself barking has worked before so I bark. Still--nothing. How could this be? I've got puppies inside that need me. They need me now! What should I do? Check the gates? Ok! Great idea. They are locked too. Waste of time. ugh!!! What is going on? deck stairs? Nope. Those are locked too. Then I hear her. She's calling me. I run to her and go through the door. I hear my babies calling for me. It's a different cry too. I get to the bed. I smell something different. I count to make sure all six of them are there. yep! They still smell different. I count toes (if you're a parent, you know what I mean when I say that). HMMMMMM? That's it--I know what happened. That darn vet wanted to see them and then he removed their dew claws. They put their hands on my babies. Do they know who they are dealing with? Obviously NOT! Why couldn't they have just told me? I just can't be bothered right now with the drama. They (my puppies) are safe now and I won't be leaving them again anytime soon. Besides, I've heard how much more painful they can be if not removed and getting them snagged on a blanket or carpet. Ouch! I mean, I guess its ok. I'm just going to lie here and take a little nap with them.

I was going about my normal day when this happened. I didn't know what was happening. All of the sudden, this little surprise appeared. I clearly still had no idea what was happening. Even after the second surprise came. I was still clueless. I wonder if this is what they call 'labor'? Could it be? I've heard horror stories from my girlfriends about their puppy bearing days. It's got to be. I'm in labor. WOW!! What should I be doing? Am I doing this right? Oh my goodness!! This is really happening. Oh my! Another one? They smell weird and are alien-like looking. They are making weird noises. I'm going to clean this gooey stuff off of them. One by one. That's better. But they are still pretty ugly if you ask me. Now what is this little girl doing? She's nursing? Oh, I guess that explains why my teets are hurting. I catch another glimpse of the two girls and now a little boy. They are kinda growing on me. I mean they are kinda cute. They would probably look cuter if their eyes and ear holes were opened. It's ok. oh-----How long have you been here Kristin? I guess I didn't even know you that you had been here helping me. My bad. Another one? on and on..........
What a day! I now have three beautiful girls and three handsome boys.
BTW...Has anyone seen my husband Ozzy? He kinda just disappears and then reappears. Which reminds me.......he better not come around here anytime soon. These are my babies and we are now a pack. I will protect them to the bitter end if needed. I'm going to protect them from the world, monsters, and cats. I hate cats!
I'm tired! night-night
